Deutsche Bahn (DB) aims to make train stations more attractive. For this reason, the coworking offer at the shorter nodes of long-distance traffic is now being gradually expanded. In the meantime, work rooms and office space that can be booked spontaneously and at short notice are available in Berlin, Hanover, Karlsruhe and Nuremberg.
In summer 2020 the DB opens the first coworking space under the brand “everyworks”: Travelers, commuters and station visitors can work and hold meetings on the 10th floor of Berlin Central Station. Workplaces and meeting rooms are booked via a dedicated app; use is billed to the minute.
“With ‘everyworks’ we offer modern workplaces at the most central location in the city: the train station. With this added value, we make our stations more attractive and, above all, give people who commute and travel privately a further incentive to switch to climate-friendly rail. “
Dr. Meike Niedbal, Head of “Smart City” at DB
Coworking now also at Hanover Central Station
From the end of October 2021, there will also be in at the main station Hanover an “everyworks” location ready. Ten workplaces and a meeting room are available there. As at Berlin Central Station, these areas can be booked via the Everyworks app.
Deutsche Bahn customers also in Nuremberg and Karlsruhe use the coworking spaces of the “Design Offices”. The established provider of office space that can be booked at short notice is a cooperation partner of DB.
Further “everyworks” locations are being planned, e. container Frankfurt am Main. Another coworking space is to be opened in the InterCity Hotel at the main train station in November 2021.
