Motorists, attention: the traffic order in Debrecen is changing – with video
Debrecen – Work began in the morning on Kishegyesi út, on the section between Császár Péter utca and the railway crossing and on Bethlen utca.
The road surface is being demolished on Kishegyesi út. The work, which began on Monday, concerns the busy section between Császár Péter Street and the railway crossing.
– The construction of the stormwater drainage of the Nagysándor site is in progress. The first phase from Kishegyesi út to Lóskúti út has already been built. Now the contractor has to build the closed tap water drainage system on the section of Péter Császár and Tegez streets – explained Zsolbor Gábor, the head of the city management department.
For this reason, from Monday to November 12, vehicles can travel here with a half-way road closure. The work takes place in two phases.
For the first time, on October 27, the lanes leading from Pósa Street to Derék Street were closed. From 28, lanes leading from Derék Street to Pósa Street will no longer be available to motorists.
The road will be widened on Bethlen Street. As part of this, the workers will work on the even side up to the Bethlen Street-Master – Hunyadi Street junction. Reconstruction of utilities also took place there.
Work here will be completed by mid-December, depending on the weather. In the meantime, the contractor will ask everyone to drive in accordance with the posted signs, signs and the temporary traffic regulations.
During the work, the pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Bethlen utca and Thaly Kálmán utca will be temporarily closed. By mid-December, pedestrians will be able to use the zebra on Honvéd-Hunyadi Street.
