Innsbruck football weekend: SVR and SVI increase the tension factor, IAC and Union during the winter break
INNSBRUCK. The Hypo Tirol Liag is also in the winter break. There are still two rounds on the program in the tt.com Regionalliga Tirol. SVG Reichenau and SVI increase the tension just before the end of the season. SK Wilten in the 3rd TFV Kerschdorfer Tirol Cup round.
Tension increased
The Innsbruck clubs increase the tension in the league. The SVG Reichenau moves closer to the top of the table, the SVI reports back in the relegation battle. SVG Reichenau celebrates a 2: 1 success in Kufstein. Philipp Thurnbichler and Lukas Caria die goals for Gernot Glänzer’s team. In the table, the Reichenau are in 4th place, four points behind the leader of the table. The SVI wins in Wattens against the WSG Tirol amateurs Engin Aysel and Paul Schuchter lets coach Martin Hofbaue cheer. Winter break
The IAC and the Generali Union Innsbruck are signing out of the championship during the winter break, but both teams still have one cup game. The IAC plays on ASKÖ-Platz in Radetzkystraße against Völser SV and has to accept an unexpected 0-2 home defeat. Michi Messer’s team is fifth in the table with 25 points (8 wins, 1 draw, 6 defeats) thanks to their strong away record. War man in the national league after a top team on their own ASKÖ place, the home balance is negative this time. Herbert Lener, Chairman of Union Innsbruck, can take a deep breath. A difficult autumn season was expected, but after winning the first round in the city derby against the IAC, Die Union had to wait until the 14th round for the second win. The fall season ended with a third win, thanks to a 3-0 away win. The goals were scored by Nenad Markovic, Marco Stokic and Stefan Milenkovic. Now the team is with 12 points (3 wins, 3 draws, 9 defeats) in 14th place in the table, 3 points ahead of Zirl and 7 points ahead of Zams, and the Union has also won these direct duels. For the Union football family, sport continues in December. From December 26th until 29.12. the big junior cup is on the program again. The U9 and U10 teams play in the Leitgebhalle, and the U11 to U14 teams in the Hötting West sports hall. The spring season of the Hypo Tuirol Liga starts in mid-March 2022 with the Innsbruck derby between the Generali Union Innsbruck and the IAC on the Fenenrareal.
Football on the holiday
An entire round of the tt.com Regionalliga is on the program on the national holiday. The SVG Reichenau plays on their own facility at 10:30 am against SV Fügen. The SVI will play against SV Wörgl at 11 a.m. in Wörgl and FC Wacker Innsbruck II will make a guest appearance in Hall at 3 p.m. In the second round of the TFV Kerschdorfer Tirol Cup, the IAC will play against SPG Rinn / Tulfes in Tulfes at 2 p.m. and the kick-off in Vils for the game between FC Schretter Vils and Generali Union Innsbruck is at 5 p.m. SVG Reichenau and SVI only enter the competition in the third main round of the TFV Kerschdorfer Tirol Cup. Thanks to a 4: 3 away win, SK Wilten secured participation in the third TFV Kerschdorfer Tirol Cup round. Alexander Hauser (2 hits), Daniel Klaiber and Matthias Einsle-Weiss ensure the goals in Flaurling and the corresponding jubilation by Wilten coach Mohammad Shahabzada.
