In the index of the development of information and communication technologies, Belarus is in the lead in the region, and in the ranking of 176 countries it is in 32nd place.

The minister told how Belarus will be in advanced information technologies in the country. First of all, it is a “smart city” system, including remote monitoring of energy consumption, the state of the housing stock, the state of the environment and others.

Belarus is trying to keep up with modern communication technologies. Information technologies, according to the minister, continue to be actively introduced in medicine, education, and economic activity. A system for the provision of electronic state services is also being formed.

“To achieve the set tasks, work is underway to make the state proactive, to switch to digital in the sectors of the economy and the social sphere.

He notes that an important information element is the expansion of contacts between the regions of the countries.
