Police were able to pull two drug drivers and an intoxicated driver out of traffic on Sunday. Officials found search equipment in another vehicle.
In the city of Salzburg, police officers fielded a woman driver because of her noticeably slow driving style. The drug test showed THC. The 46-year-old woman said she smoked a “bedtime joint” the night before.
On Sunday afternoon, a patrol field on the A1 in the direction of Walserberg saw a driver with a risky driving style. The man overtook other vehicles in the right lane with his vehicle. A drug test was carried out on the farm and found positive for THC and cocaine. The three-year-old son and partner of the 25-year-old also sat in the car.
The police took away the driver’s license from both drivers, forbade further driving and reported both drivers.
During a check in the road in the Schallmoos district, officers of the border and immigration police stopped a car, and the passenger and driver of the vehicle were in possession of addictive substances. The driver had 1.1 grams of cocaine and the passenger had 1.2 grams of cannabis herb with them. The police officers seize the drugs and prohibit reports.
Alkolenker tried to flee the police
Already on Sunday morning, motorway police tried to stop a driver by means of stopping signals on the western motorway at the height of Salzburg Mitte, driving south. The initially unknown driver disregarded the stop signs and suddenly drove over the restricted area at the Mitte exit. The officers could not leave, but shortly afterwards found the said vehicle in Salzburg-Lehen and stopped the man. The driver showed clear symptoms of alcoholism, but refused the alcohol test. In addition, the license plate on the assessment sticker was scratched and illegible. The chassis number also does not match that on the registration certificate. When the police were dismantling the license plates, the 25-year-old from Salzburg tore off one of the number plates from the vehicle and ran away. The man is reported to the authorities.
