Covid, a victim in San Marino after almost a month
The Institute for Social Security communicates the update of COVID-19 infections and the progress of the vaccination campaign, in San Marino, recorded in the last week from 18 to 24 October (data updated at midnight yesterday, 24 October 2021).
Updated update from COVID-19
The total number of infected people identified since the beginning of the pandemic until midnight yesterday is 5,509 of which: 30 active positives (average age 44 years, 15 females and 15 males), 92 deaths and 5,383 recoveries. In the past week, 28 new cases have been detected.
Unfortunately, the death of an 81-year-old Sammarinese is reported. On behalf of its operators and the Secretariat of State for Health, the Institute expresses its deepest condolences to family members and relatives.
Currently one person is hospitalized, while 29 people are followed at home, plus 13 people in quarantine.
The total swabs performed are 82,601, of which 25,997 on individuals.

AntiCOVID vaccination campaign
The total number of vaccinations carried out yesterday is 47,379 of which 22,764 people vaccinated with the first dose and 24,615 with the second dose or with the single dose.
51.6% of the vaccinated are female and 48.4% are male.
81.41% of the vaccinable population completed the immunization cycle.
Specifically, 18,974 first doses, 18,670 second doses and 1,317 single doses with Sputnik V vaccine and 3,790 first doses, 3,591 second doses, 1,037 single doses with Comirnaty vaccine (Pfizer / BioNTech).
