Winner of the “Stop-Reset-Start” competition organized by Carlo Biagioli srl is “Video to simulate a reset” by Mateusz Domeradzki
“Special Green Festival Award” assigned to Ivana Giannini’s “Nido d’ape”. Special mention for the artist Gabriele Gambuti author of the work “Looking at oneself for once in the future”. The installation interprets a sculptural formalization, with the use of differentiated materials capable of bringing great dynamism and giving life to a kinetic work. Special mention by the jury also for Esther Cimmarrusti for originality, technique and reworking of the theme.
The competition was a harbinger of an all-round reflection on the theme of restoring the initial conditions, starting from a term through our jargon through the aseptic language of computer science: “reset”. The launch of the competition took place last July, protagonist Lucia Peruch of Mutoid presents at the Cava dei Balestrieri in San Marino-City to propose a live sculpture build inspired by the theme of the competition, entitled “Awakenings-Awakenings”. The event enjoys the patronage of the Secretariat of State for Education and Culture. This and other questions were answered by the participants in the art competition organized by Carlo Biagioli srl, an opportunity for reflection that resulted in the final selection of 34 works including paintings, photographs, videos, sculptures and installations, stories, poems. A success made possible by the fascinating and multifaceted theme that the artists have reworked in a completely free way, with the use of their most congenial expressive forms. “I am a lover of contemporary art and I prefer the works of young authors – explains Carlo Biagioli – and I therefore thought that an art competition could be particularly suitable for those who are starting to embark on their own artistic path. I inherited this passion from my grandfather Carlo, a collector and art lover ”. The work declared as the winner by the technical jury will be revealed for three months in the window of Carlo Biagioli srl. A brief exhibition of the works in a museum space in the area.
