Venice marathon, Anderson Seroi wins, blue Sofia Yaremchuk first three women
Venice, 24 October 2021 – E. Anderson Seroi from Kenya the first classified of the Venicemarathon 2021: he crossed the finish line of the 45 kilometers from Stra to Venice in 2 hours 12 minutes and 21 ”. After him came Justus Kangogo, Gilbert Chumba: they are all three from Kenya. Marco Salami, blue of the Army iItalian in his first marathon, he finished fourth in 2 hours 14 minutes.
There ranked first among women at the Venice marathon it is the blue Sofia Yaremchuk, Ukrainian by birth and Roman by adoption, also representing our Army: she finished the race in 2 hours and 28 minutes.

The winner of the 10 Km

The 10 km, which has about 6 thousand people registered, started from San Giuliano Park in Mestre while the ‘regular’ 42 km marathon started from Stra. For both the finish line is in Venice.
Ten thousand at the Marathon, including the Family run
About ten thousand people registered in total for the two sporting and recreational events. including several foreigners representing 60 Nations, and about 2 thousand people enrolled in the Family run.
The event, which marks the restart after the pandemic, is included in the program of celebrations to celebrate the 1600 years from the foundation of Venice and is connected to the Venicemarathon charity program, the solidarity fundraising initiative that has already raised almost 40,000 euros to date.
“Kids, families and fun lovers who are running the Family Run at the San Giuliano Park! A very long snake to be together and raise awareness on solidarity, social and environmental protection” – underlined the mayor of Venice, Luigi Brugnaro.
