So much has been collected during this year’s TV campaign so far – NRK Kultur og underholdning
– This is completely wild. This is a very important issue, and I must say on behalf of all of us that we must make a difference: “Thank you very much!”, Says Secretary General Kari Helene Partapuoli in Plan International Norway to NRK on Sunday night.
This year, the proceeds will go to Plan’s efforts to combat child marriage in Malawi, Niger, Mali, Nepal and Bangladesh.
– In the countries where the TV campaign will take place, poverty has increased and fewer children go to school. Precisely poverty and lack of schooling is one of the reasons why child marriage still exists, said Secretary General of Plan International Norway, Kari Helene Partapuoli, the fundraising campaign will start on Sunday.
– This action is now more important than it was just half a dozen years ago, she adds.

Among other things, the government gave NOK 50 million to the TV campaign.
