Riots at FC Zurich against GC – Comment by Sandro Inguscio

The same stadium. The same duel. The same ugly scenes. Exactly ten years after the shame of Zurich, FCZ anchors are storming through the stadium again, throwing torches at 2,000 degrees Celsius into the crowd. Worry again for fear and horror. The fans are back in the stadium. And with them the highly dangerous pyro throwers.
The question that all football officials in this country ask themselves When: Have we learned nothing in ten years?
Only the last two years was calm. No ugly pictures for two years. No wonder: Because of Corona, the Chaos were locked up at home or at least locked out of the stadium for two years.
Only: It cannot be that we have to suffer from a pandemic in order to have peace of mind from a masked plague. It should not be the case that parents can no longer go to the stadium with their children without worries.
That’s why a 3G rule against chaos is also needed:
– Personalized tickets Works like a vaccination or a test. Only those who have been checked can get in. One must no longer put everyone’s safety at risk under pressure from a few.
– Highly modernized video surveillance in the stadium as contact tracking. Anyone who causes an incident must be prosecuted. The technology is there, you just have to install it.
– Disguise prohibition as a social rule. Just as keeping our distance protects us, so it protects us to know who is sitting next to you. Therefore: No entry into the stadium with fan jackets with built-in nets for masking. If you have nothing illegal in mind, you don’t need them either.
With these three measures, everyone would finally be protected from chaos and could enjoy the game again.
