Nearly 900 young footballers at the Stade Louis-II
On the occasion of the Montpellier HSC reception this Sunday afternoon, AS Monaco invited amateur football clubs from the Côte d’Azur District as well as the Hector Otto Foundation and the children of Saint-Martin-Vésubie. .
The operation associated with the District was a great success since nearly 900 budding players took their places in the stands to attend the match and were thus able to experience the victory of Niko Kovac’s men against Montpellier (3- 1). .
At the same time, in the Honor stand, eight residents of the Hector Otto Foundation, based in Monaco, also took their places to experience the meeting. Supporters of AS Monaco, they had for the occasion a red and white scarf around the neck, to support their favorite players. The Hector Otto Foundation works as a priority in favor of the elderly, particularly attracted by isolation during the last months marked by the pandemic, and moreover broadcasts the meetings of the ASM in the common room of its establishments. Faithful supporters of AS Monaco, they were able to taste a beautiful afternoon of football.
Finally, at the initiative of AS Monacoeur, children from nursery and primary schools in Saint-Martin-Vésubie were also invited by the Club this Sunday. Hard hit by the storm Alex last year, the municipality of Alpes-Maritimes had recently received Bouba, the club’s mascot, and the young students had exchanged in video before the final of the Coupe de France with players of the workforce.
AS Monaco has always kept in touch with the captured families and the students, Rouge et Blanc de cœur, have echoed chants of “Mo-na-co! »Throughout the afternoon at the Stade Louis-II. Some of them are even distributed with the jerseys of several players, such as Sofiane Diop, Ismail Jakobs or even Captain Wissam Ben Yedder.
