Covid-19: 4 people died in Portugal in the last 24 hours and there are 604 more cases
Portugal counts 4 more deaths this Sunday and 604 new cases of covid-19, according to the daily report of the General Directorate of Health (DGS).
Deaths were registered in the North (2), Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (1) and Algarve (1) regions. Most of the new confirmed cases are concentrated in the regions of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (226), North (160) and Center (131).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Portugal has registered 18,133 deaths and 1,035,693 cases of infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, active active 31,312 cases, 357 more compared to Saturday.
The DGS bulletin reveals that they are admitted 269 sick, 5 less than on Saturday. US intensive care there are 52 sick, minus 3.
The data also indicate that over 243 patients were reported as recovered, bringing to 1,035,693 the total number of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic in Portugal, in March 2020.

Portugal has 85.7% of the population vaccinated against covid-19, at a time when 123,000 people have already taken the third dose of the vaccine.
As for the influenza vaccination, from the beginning of the process, 279,000 people have already been vaccinated, according to data on the vaccination campaign in Portugal advanced, this Sunday, by the Directorate-General for Health.
The second round of flu vaccinations began on October 18, the same day that the simultaneous vaccination, and covers people aged 65 and over and who were not in the target groups of the 1st phase.

The pace of vaccination, both for the flu and for the third dose of covid-19, is expected to accelerate in November, when the amount of available doses is expected to increase.
