Ambassador Antar Daoud arrives in Monaco

Last Thursday, Antar Daoud visited the Principality of Monaco; as part of a working visit during which he presented Prince Albert II with the credentials accrediting him as Ambassador of Algeria to the Principality of Monaco, with residence in Paris.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the ceremony took place in the presence of the Government Counselor-Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, Laurent Anselmi and the Consul of Algeria in Nice, Touati Hadda.
“During the audience, the Monegasque Sovereign, showing particular interest in strengthening political relations and developing cooperation in various fields between the two countries, instructed Ambassador Mohamed-Antar Daoud to convey his greetings to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune “, We read in the press release.
Daoud recalls Algeria’s positions
During his meeting with Prince Albert II, Antar Daoud recalled Algiers “positions of principle” and “the foundations” of its foreign policy. The Algerian Ambassador also highlighted the personal commitment of the Monegasque Sovereign in the fields of sustainable development, the environment, education and sport.
In addition, Antar Daoud, on behalf of President Tebboune, handed over an invitation to Prince Albert II to attend the opening ceremony of the 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games to be held in Oran from June 25 to July 5, 2022.
Note that Antar Daoud then returned to Algiers where he is currently “for consultations”; after the diplomatic escalation caused by the French president who had suggested, during a meeting with Franco-Algerians, that Algeria did not exist before independence.
