During controls, the police caught three drug drivers in the city of Salzburg during the night. In Elixhausen (Flachgau) a drunken test driver’s license holder caused an accident.
In the night from Friday to Saturday, the police in the city of Salzburg carried out a driver and vehicle check. For this purpose, a civil patrol from the regional traffic department was on the way. Three vehicle drivers were stopped because of a conspicuous driving style and each given a drug saliva test. The field looks positive for everyone. All three drivers were found to be impaired by cannabis (THC) and once additionally by cocaine. A medical officer certified the incapacity to drive in each case. Two drivers, a 21-year-old from the Salzburg area and a 22-year-old from the Braunau district, temporarily hand in their test driver’s license on site. The third driver, a 25-year-old from Salzburg, cannot show a valid driving license.
Test driver’s license holder with 1.6 per mille
At 1.6 per mille, excessive speed and only in possession of a test driver’s license, a 27-year-old in Elixhausen got off the road at midnight. Shortly after entering the town, he came to the right parquet floor, then tore the car to the left – and broke through a fence of a company, where he crashed into a vehicle parked there. The 27-year-old’s car was finally left on the passenger side in the courtyard of the company. According to the police, the driver was completely uninjured. Because the alcohol test showed a value of 1.6 per thousand, he had to hand in his test driver’s license. The Elixhausen fire brigade recovered his car.
