Toulouse FH: beware of overconfidence!
The Toulousaines have made an excellent start to the season with five victories. They can be explained in particular by good cohesion.
“Yes, at the moment everything is fine (smile).” Coach of the TFH (NF1, pool 4), Fabien Vedel has for the moment no reason to be worried. After five days, his protégés accumulate as much success and share the leadership with the Pouzin (installed in 1st place thanks to a better goal difference).
Beyond the results, the coach retained above all the good cohesion within his workforce. “It is always difficult to remain constant on each match for sixty minutes. But when we lower the intensity, the girls manage to re-mobilize themselves quite quickly. If I compare with the only two games played last season, this reaction in our Low times were only made at the time by one or two players. This season, the team goes far above individualities. This is obviously one of our strengths. I can count on players who want all move forward together, ”he explains.
“The road is still long”
Nevertheless, the coach and his troops keep their feet on the ground. “With a series of victories, we know full well that the trap would be to fall into the easy way out of overconfidence. We are well aware that the road is still long,” insists Fabien Vedel. Tonight (7 p.m.), at home, the TFH will have a good test against the Union Pays d’Aix Bouc (5th at three lengths). “We are going to meet a great team. We will have to be even more precise and fairer in our game,” warns the technician.
Among the other satisfactions, the TFH always relies on a workforce spared by injuries and on well-stocked stands at Argoulets, “an affluence which gives us additional motivation”.
