Toulouse draws a draw against PFC, Sochaux could become Ligue 2 leader
Thierry Laurey, the coach of Paris FC, had prepared his case well. A careful speech all week and a very defensive start to try not to take but to counter the Toulouse, who remained on a big performance against Auxerre (6-0).
The plan was going to work perfectly in the first half. If Téfécé was often in possession of the ball, he never found the fault despite the activity of Nathan N’Goumou on his right side. By dint of breaking its teeth on the Parisian defense, Toulouse folded for the first time on one of the rare Parisian forays into the opposing camp. One touch, a relay from Warren Caddy triggered in Mustapha Name position, higher on Saturday for the relaunch of Stijn Spierings. The midfielder of the PFC, in one touch, launched Morgan Guilavogui surprised Maxime Dupé with a cross shot (1-0, 35th).
Laurey and the PFC had more success with this failure of Van den Bommen, served by N’Goumou, and a ball that flew over because of a false rebound (43rd). Two minutes later, the referee, Guillaume Paradis, wrongly whistled a penalty. On a cross from Florent Hanin, the ball hit Mikkel Desler’s hip before bouncing off his arm. Warren Caddy did not care by worsening the score (2-0, 45th + 1).
The regrets of the PFC
The Toulousains set off again as at kickoff despite this incredible scenario. And quickly returned to the mark. On a corner from Branco Van den Bommen, Rhys Heakey deflected the ball and Bafodé Diakité equalized at the far post despite the intervention of Vincent Demarconnay (2-1, 52nd). The pressure was becoming intense on the Parisian corn as shown by these four corners in a row (60th). Toulouse stumbled again and Demarconnay ensured by deflecting the ball with both fists on a free kick from Van den Boomen (73rd).
Onaiwu (78th) and Ratao (82nd) offered themselves two great opportunities in a late game removed. The Toulouse va-tout was paying off. On a Desler raid, N’Goumou centered and found Healey in the box. The attacker chained the control of the right foot and strikes from the left in the small Parisian right net (2-2, 85th). The ball went from one goal to another and Alfarela took the option of the pass, countered by Nicolaisen, towards Gaëtan Laura, instead of perhaps hitting (89th). In a meeting at a high pace, Paris FC, long ahead, could harbor regrets. Toulouse was able to raise its level of play to return to the score but Sochaux, in case of success against Quevilly-Rouen-Métropole, could take the place of leader.
