Exactly 10 years ago the musical “Sound of Music” was put on the program of the State Theater – and has become an absolute box-office hit. After a two-year break, the Trapp family’s musical adventure returns to the stage.
With new stars in the lead roles, and some familiar faces among the very youngest actresses, the world success is back in the Landestheater. And with him two young stars who made their debut in 2011 at the premiere. At that time they played the little ones, and today they have moved up to the big Trapp sister. Maria Strassl and Marianne Herzig are happy: “It’s still a lot of fun – and we’ve always had it”.
New cast starring
Among other things, the main roles of Maria with Patrizia Unger and those of Captain Trapp with Lukas Perman are newly cast. With a lot of charm and absolutely convincing vocals, the two make a dream couple, like Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer in the Sound of Music cult and kitsch blockbuster of the 1960s. “Even if it is of course partly kitschy, the serious issue of resistance against National Socialism by Georg Trapp is behind it”, says his actor Lukas Perman.
