Russia will not claim to host the Final Four of the Women’s Futsal EURO

President of the Mini-Football Association of Russia (AMFR) Emil Aliyev said that Russia will not apply for the right to host the Final Four of the European Indoor Football Championship due to difficulties in connection with the epidemiological situation.

The host of the “Final will be held at the end of March 2022” will be one of the countries that will take part in the fight for the medals of the continental championship. Russia was the first to qualify for the quartet of the strongest ahead of schedule, having won two victories in group 1.

“We are delighted to advance to the Final Four. Obviously, there is a rapid development of women’s futsal in Europe – all teams are adding. For example, if earlier in the match with the Dutch we won without hesitation, now we won only with a score of 2: 1. I hope that in the decisive stage we will improve the previous result, when we won the bronze. But we understand who will be our leaders. Once again, I congratulate our girls and the coaching staff on this confident and early entry into the Final Four.

We will definitely not qualify for the right to host the Final Four due to the difficult coronavirus history. European teams are more likely to come to Russia, observing all the requirements and rules. And we don’t take risks. The tournament is scheduled for March, and the peak incidence falls on these dates. It is better for one of our team to travel to Europe.
