Portugal, Russia and Spain qualify: last qualifying for Women’s Futsal EURO | UEFA Women’s Futsal EURO
Portugal, Russia and Spain become the first qualifiers for the UEFA Women’s Futsal EURO 2022 finals, with a final qualifier for the main phase to be decided on Sunday.
The champions Spain and Portugal, runners-up, were among the 13 teams entering this phase, to which they join as winners of the preliminary round: Belgium, Netherlands and Slovakia. The four group winners qualify for the knockout finals, a contest on the 24th or 25th of March 2022 and the 26th or 27th of March, the winner will be one of the participants.
Russia were the first to secure their place at the finals, winning Group 1 with a game to go after beating the Netherlands and Hungary. He then saw Spain and Portugal get together on Saturday. Group 3, played in Ukraine, remains to be decided on Sunday, with the hosts to ensure qualification should they avoid defeat by Finland. Both teams won the first two games.
- The four group winners advance to the final knockouts at the end of March, being, in principle, one of the chosen host countries.
