Portugal is the 4th country in Europe with more shippers per 100km
Portugal was one of the countries that has invested the most in electric mobility. It is true that there is still a lot to be done, but the investment has been visible.
According to recent data from the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ACEA), Portugal is the 4th country in Europe with more chargers per 100km.

According to the most recent study by ACEA, Portugal is the 4th country with the most charging stations per 100 km of roads. Additionally, in August 2021, a record number of charges on the electric mobility network in Portugal was recorded, with 145 thousand charges.
This growth was catalyzed by state investment, in excess of 12 million euros, which enabled the development of the public pilot network and created the innovative universal access system for electric mobility in Portugal.
The Mobi.E network, with more than 70 operators of points and 20 Electricity Suppliers for Electric Mobility, has been growing, both in the number of stations and in the increase in available capacity: it now provides 4,175 charging points, distributed by national territory, including the Azores and Madeira, of which around 800 points are fast or ultra-fast (> 50 kW).
At the end of 2020, the network had 3,076 points, around double the recovered points installed in the previous year and, in 2021, it has been growing at an average rate of 31 new points per week.
The most recent study by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association ranks Portugal as the 4th country with the most charging stations per 100 km of road, with 14.9 charging points for every 100 kilometers of existing road.
