Health – Hanover – Corona situation in the country relatively stable: but incidence is increasing – Health
Hanover (dpa / lni) – The corona situation in Lower Saxony remains stable. The number of new admissions of Covid 19 patients to clinics during the past seven days was 2.3 per 100,000 inhabitants on Saturday. The so-called hospitalization incidence stagnated at the value of the previous day. For the Lower Saxony health authorities and municipalities, this variable is the most important indicator for assessing the pandemic situation.
The incidence increased from 48.4 to 53.8 compared to Saturday a week ago. According to the data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the value on Friday was 56.5 – there were as many registered new infections with the corona virus per 100,000 inhabitants in the northwest of a week. Nationwide at the highest war the incidence in the district of Cloppenburg with 184.2. According to the Ministry of Health, this value goes back to an outbreak in a slaughterhouse. The districts of Gifhorn (105.0) and Emsland (93.0) followed.
In the intensive care units of the hospitals in Lower Saxony, 3.4 percent of the available beds were occupied by Covid 19 patients and patients on Saturday. The value thus fell slightly compared to the previous day (3.6 percent).
A corona warning level is reached in Lower Saxony if the hospitalization value (hospital) and at least one of the two other measures (newly infected, intensive care beds) exceed the limit admissions defined in the ordinance. So for the leading indicator of hospitalization, the value six must be exceeded so that warning level one can possibly be declared. The warning levels are proclaimed partly by the state, partly by the districts or urban districts. The prerequisite for this is that the respective values exceed the thresholds for five days in a row.
