Budapest also celebrated the Day of Remembrance of the 1956 Revolution with national light painting
The twenty-third of this year was not dominated by commemorations of the events of 1956, but by various mass events: the Peace March organized by the Hungarian Two-Tailed Dog Party’s own Peace March, the Civil Co-operation Forum (CÖF), Viktor Orban However, in addition to his afternoon speech and the general assembly of the opposition (our long summary of these can be read here), there was also room for the light paintings that have become traditional in recent years.
This year, various important buildings in the city were dressed in red-white-green – the locations were photographed by MTI photographer, Balázs Mohai went around:
