3: 0! Berlin Volleys celebrate their fifth win of the season against Herrsching – BZ Berlin
The Berlin Volleys are still unbeaten after five season games in the volleyball Bundesliga.
Against the previous fourth in the table, Volleys Herrsching, the German champions prevailed on Saturday with 3-0 (25:14, 25:17, 25:19). In front of 1648 spectators in the Max-Schmeling-Halle, Marek Sotola ended the consistently superior game at the first match point with an ace.
The hosts started very energetically. A reliable acceptance by Santiago Danani and Ruben Schott made a series of successful attacks possible. In the first technical time out, the team was already 8: 3.
An attack successfully completed by Cody Kessel gave the team a comfortable seven-point lead for the first time (17:10). After that, the first round was almost a sure-fire success.
Even a 1: 4 deficit at the beginning of the second set did not bother the BR Volleys. It takes a while, however, until the team was able to break away a little at 19:16 thanks to Sergej Grankin.
Security suddenly returned to the capital city’s game. Herrsching then managed only one point in this second sentence.

Despite the clear 2-0 lead, the leader kept the pressure on Bayern upright. Guest coach Max Hauser had already used up his two time outs in the early stage of the third round. However, the measure does not fundamentally change the superiority of the BR Volleys.
