Unusual. In Lyon, she gives birth on the metro platform
Original pink notebook! In too much of a hurry, a little girl was born on Thursday on the Lyon metro platform, report Progress.
Her mother, a 22-year-old woman, was on her way to a routine maternity clinic early in the morning when she suffered violent contractions on the stairs and lost water. The new mother gave birth on the platform of the Gorge-de-Loup station before the arrival – although very fast – of the firefighters and the Samu. A metro agent was able to assist him, further specify our colleagues.
The dad, too, quickly arrived on site. All’s well that ends well: both the baby and the mother are doing well.
RATP, in Paris, offers flowers
At the beginning of September, a little girl was also born in the metro, in Paris this time. The baby was not entitled to a free membership until he was 25, as had been offered on previous occasions (because, yes, it’s not unheard of, it happens about once a year). On the other hand, the RATP made a nice gesture: it sent the mother flowers, a blanket and a free Navigo pass for one year.
History does not say whether the Lyon metro network TCL also intends to make a splash.
