It is reported that the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held talks with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova Nika Popescu, who is on a working visit to our country.
The heads of Ukrainian and Moldovan diplomacy will fill the first discussion of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and Moldova in the near future. They outlined promising areas of cooperation: strengthening energy security, trade development, implementation of infrastructure facilities, promotion of EU integration within the Associated Trio.

“An important topic of the talks was the energy security of our state. We in Moldova are already convinced that assistance will continue to be connected to gas supply issues. Solidarity with Moldova in difficult times is beyond doubt. Together we can overcome any Russia, “Kuleba stressed.
The Foreign Ministers also agreed to synchronize actions in the context of preparations for the Eastern Partnership in December and the implementation of the ambitious plan of the Associated Trio for EU membership. “I am convinced that the country of the Associated Trio will be in the next wave of enlargement of the European Union,” Kuleba said.
He thanked Nick Popescu for Ukraine’s active role in the Transnistrian settlement. He also reaffirmed his unwavering support for Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, and his readiness to take an active part in implementing the tasks of the Crimean Platform.
The interlocutors also agreed to hold closer political consultations of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs to discuss steps to strengthen the security of Ukraine and Moldova and counter common challenges.
A separate negotiation was the strengthening of cooperation in international organizations.
“Dmitry Kuleba accepted the invitation of his Moldovan colleague to visit Moldova at the time accepted for the page,” the message reads.

Kuleba previously said that giving the European perspective of the EU a transformative force for Ukraine and strengthening regional stability.
As he wrote UNN, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi previously said to sign that Ukraine has three declarations with EU countries on the country’s membership in the bloc, four have already been signed.
