Skirmish in line for vaccination at the railway station in Prague. People swear and overtake
After the government announced the introduction of new measures against coronavirus, interest in vaccination increased again. Praguers are mainly concerned at the main railway station, where they can get the vaccine without registration. Hours wait in line and do not hesitate to get up. But some are trying to overtake, and so there are sharpened conflicts.
The government stepped up its fight with the covid-19 and approved a package of new measures at an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday. Minister of Health Adam Vojtěch (for YES) also called for vaccination and, as it turns out, the Czechs could tell. Whether their motivation is fear of coronavirus infection or reluctance to take more tests against covid-19, interest in vaccines is enormous.
“We are registering an increased interest in vaccinations. Almost 13,000 new people signed up for the vaccination yesterday, “representatives of the Smart Quarantine wrote on Friday. twitter account.
And Eva Libigerová, a spokeswoman for the Bulovka University Hospital, which includes the vaccination center at the main railway station, speaks similarly. “We have recorded a slight transmission during the last three days. We are vaccinating about a hundred more people,” she told TN.cz.
At the station, people wait in long lines for several hours. They are often not lazy to even get up. For example, a member of the TV Nova staff wanted to get vaccinated on Thursday, but it was not his turn, so he arrived about an hour and a half earlier in the morning. “I was about tenth in a row,” he told a reporter on the spot.
But there were also those who tried to overtake. There was a conflict on Friday morning when one of the people tried to slip into the vaccination center right at the entrance and overtake the whole front. Other waiters did not like this and more than a dozen members of the security guards had to come to control all the emotions of the participants. The police also appeared on the spot shortly afterwards.
“We have been told that there is a verbal conflict between several people. After the colleagues arrived at the scene, no one was there. No one has reported a physical attack, “Said Jan Rybanský, a spokesman for the Prague police.
The importance of long-term support, especially of the government, which on Wednesday at an extraordinary meeting also announced the introduction of new measures. From Monday, for example, it will be mandatory to wear respirators at all mass events inside. They will be mandatory in the workplace if the worker is not alone. In restaurants and clubs, operators will have to check from November to have infectivity, ie whether people have confirmed vaccination, negative test, or have suffered from the disease. At the same time, however, they stop paying off – most people take preventive tests for covid19 and their effectiveness is reduced. An overview of all changes can be found in the article here.
