Open day Zuidas on October 30th
Have you ever seen a lasagna? Have you taken a cycling tour with tunnel experts? Have you thought about huge foundations? New? That is exactly why Zuidas is holding an open day.
Together with Rijkswaterstaat and ProRail, we are building the Zuidas district. There will be homes, a new train station and the A10 will go underground. Much has already been done and more is to come. That is why we thought it was high time for an open day. It gives you the opportunity to see and experience what is happening in Zuidas right now.
open day
On October 30, 2021, we will take you along beautiful green spaces, award-winning buildings and art. On these tours, you’ll see things you normally never see and hear stories you normally hear. And above all, we just make it a fun day, rain or shine. Also for younger visitors.
What is there to do?
Too many to list here. The complete overview of all tours and activities can be found on the Zuidas website. You can also register there. We will of course give you a preview:
- Find out about Zuidasdok, the largest infrastructural project in the Netherlands, where the A10 will partly go underground.
- Visit job sites where extensive foundations are being built – and puzzle along with the builders yourself.
- Explore the future residential neighborhood of Ravel, where 1,350 homes are being built. With expert and inspiring explanations.
- Discover the underground ‘lasagna’ of sand and kilometers of cables on the site of what will soon become the Maurice Ravellaan.
- Join us on a bike ride with tunnel experts and specialists who will show you how we are going to take apart the spaghetti of roads.
- Discover why the Van der Valk Amsterdam Zuidas hotel has been named the Best Building 2021.
Unique city district
Zuidas is close to Schiphol and to the center of Amsterdam. as a result, the area attracts national and international companies and organisations. In addition, more people are coming to live there. The neighborhood is therefore becoming more lively, but is certainly not finished. We are developing Zuidas into a complete urban district with a unique character, a neighborhood where living, working, traveling and relaxing go hand in hand.
