Monaco will become the capital of cycling
Monaco will host the BEKING Back to Bike 2021 event on November 28: a day entirely dedicated to cycling.
The Princess Charlene Foundation announced it on October 21 on its Facebook page: the Principality will be the seat of the first edition of the BEKING Back to Bike 2021. This sporting event was imagined by the famous Italian cyclist Matteo Trentin and is included in the official UCI 2021 calendar.
The concept of BEKING Retour à Vélo 2021? Establish a bridge between cycling as a sport and the practice of cycling as a leisure and clean mode of transport. Many Monegasque cyclists were calling for this event to be held, which will be the unique opportunity to reconcile two ways that are both so different and so complementary to experience cycling. In addition, a charity cocktail and an auction will raise funds for the Princess Charlene Foundation.
Competitions and events
On the program… cycling races, of course! Professionals and amateurs alike will find their account in the different levels of distances and difficulties offered. In addition, a large space will be dedicated to the discovery of cycling by children. They will be taught safety instructions on the road, but the objective will also be to transmit to them the passion of cycling as a sport.
