HOLIDAY ON ICE in the Olympiahalle – a journey to the stars with Innsbruck participants! | Olympic sport

Sugar Mizzy October 22, 2021

HOLIDAY ON ICE takes off and comes to Innsbruck with the new production SUPERNOVA from January 14th to 16th, 2022! Celina Profanter from Innsbruck is part of the cast

Innsbruck (OTS) – The new production SUPERNOVA takes the audience on a fantastic journey from earth to a distant galaxy. An energetic show with visually stunning settings and effective wow moments. The story begins with a colorful winter festival in the eternal ice, in honor of all heavenly elements with an enchanting ice dance and graceful choreographies. But a gigantic snowstorm that suddenly appears ends the celebrations soon and carries the protagonists out of the snowy polar world into the infinity of the cosmos.

An impressive journey to magical places in the galaxy and its exotic inhabitants begins in space. Eventually they get back to earth through a supernova – a glowing, sparkling galactic explosion – and celebrate an intoxicating finale in a sea of northern lights.

SUPERNOVA takes the audience into another world and shows that acceptance, friendship and love know no earthly boundaries. “We want to surprise our audience again and again, exceed their expectations and create new worlds. With a team of the most famous ice skaters and the best ice skaters in the world, we are creating a literally unearthly ice show this season and taking the audience on a wonderful journey full of visually stunning scenes and touching moments“, Says Peter O’Keeffe, CEO and producer of HOLIDAY ON ICE.

Innsbrucker is part of the SUPERNOVA cast

The SUPERNOVA ensemble also includes figure skater Celina Profanter from Innsbruck, for whom a childhood dream has come true with her appearance at Holiday on Ice. Ever since Celina saw the Turin Olympics on television in 2006, her dream has been to be on the ice.

“Once I’m on the ice, I can forget everything else around me. Moving on the ice to a wide variety of pieces of music is the best way to express myself and my feelings. It’s a very tough but wonderful sport, my passion! I enjoy being on the ice with other ice skaters from all over the world. Together we manage to take our audience into another world: namely on a trip to the stars with the show Supernova“Says the figure skater Celina Profanter.

About HOLIDAY ON ICE

With more than 330 million visitors, HOLIDAY ON ICE is the most popular ice show in the world. Since the first performance in December 1943, the crowd puller of a small hotel production in the USA has developed into a global ice cream entertainment producer. HOLIDAY ON ICE conquered Europe as early as 1951 and celebrated the first German premiere in Frankfurt am Main in the same year. The original of all figure art shows presents figure skating at the highest level of performance with elements from theater, dance, opera, pop, magic, musicals and acrobatics.
