Video surveillance identified the suspect of a sexual assault committed last May in the Toulouse metro. The 43-year-old admitted to masturbating in front of a 19-year-old passenger.

The facts are now several months old, having taken place at the end of last May. At the end of the evening, around 10 p.m., a 19-year-old girl had boarded a train from the Toulouse metro (Haute-Garonne). Train which, specifies 20 Minutes, was then empty of people. At the next stop, a man got into the train and seated himself not far from the traveler.

The guy had started by stroking himself through his pants, and if that was not enough, then released his penis to continue his masturbation. A scene that had panicked the young woman, who had however had time to film a few seconds of the attack before fleeing at the next stop, running and screaming.

The respondent imprisoned in another case

It is not known whether the images aided by the victim were able to the investigators in their task. In any case, it turns out that the use of video surveillance allowed the identification of a suspect, imprisoned at the Seysses remand center in the context of another case. On Tuesday, the 43-year-old man was taken from his cell and presented to investigators from the unit for attacks on people on the right bank. At first, he denied the facts, before a confrontation with the victim and the viewing of his image tours made him reconsider his words. He was returned to cell pending his next comparison before the criminal court.
