“After yesterday’s mixed team, today was the turn of the women’s trap race for Alessandra Perilli at the President’s Cup, a race that replaced the World Cup Final, taking place on the platforms of the Larnaka Olympic Shooting Range.

For the top 12 female shooters in the world ranking – reads a note from the CONS -, qualified for the competition, it was an opportunity to gain confidence with the renewed competition formula, adopted on an experimental basis.

At the end of the two qualifying series, with 47 targets hit (23 and 24 in the two series), Perilli took part in the shoot off to define in which of the two semifinals she would shoot.
After a long series of targets hit, the San Marino player had access to the first semifinal, in which, at the first barrier, Alessandra was the first to leave the match with 8/15.

“Unfortunately, compared to the other opponents, we only had ten minutes between the shoot off and the semifinal – explains the technician Luca Di Mari -. This partly penalized us, but it remains a good performance, considering the period of the season and the preparation aimed at getting in shape in the summer. Furthermore, there remains the experience of the new formula from which we have taken important information, which we will treasure “.
