The Vice-President of the Monaco Court of Revision, Jean-François Renucci, died in a road accident
Jean-François Renucci, Vice-President of the Monaco Court of Revision and professor of law at the University of Nice-Sophia-Antipolis, lost his life in a car accident on Tuesday, October 19.
He was appreciated and respected by his students and collaborators. Jean-François Renucci, a well-known personality in the Principality as well as in Nice, died on Tuesday on the Moyen Corniche. About a kilometer after Eze, in the direction of Nice, the man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the rocky cliff.
In front of the immediate conflagration of the vehicle after the accident, witnesses rushed to try to save the driver. They pulled him out of the cabin and gave him a heart massage before help arrived, but to no avail. The Smur and the firefighters were unable to save Jean-François Renucci, who died at the scene of the accident.
A “great loss” for Monaco
” Jean-François was an endearing person, loved by all, with great human qualities, declared in tribute Robert Gelli, Secretary of State for Justice and Director of Judicial Services. He was always inclined to be of service, to participate in activities and research. ”
He added : “[Jean-François] was one of two professors at the Monegasque Institute for Legal Professions Training. He wrote, for members of the judiciary, a review of the case law of the European Court of Human Rights. He was precious for Monaco and justice. It is a great loss.”
