The connection between Prague and Austria is approaching, they are buying more land for the D3 motorway
The state is again one step closer to the completion of the D3 motorway, which is to connect Prague with Austria. The Directorate of Roads and Motorways (ŘSD) may begin to purchase additional land on which the motorway is to run in southern Bohemia.
This is a plot of land in the locality of Kaplice-nádraží to Nažidla, it is supposed to lead a 12-kilometer-long section of the motorway. The state should pay almost six and a half billion crowns for this part of the highway, including the land. The construction of the D3 motorway in this part was blocked by the zoning plan. But now it has finally changed, so there is nothing to stop the state from starting to buy land.
At present, 88 percent have already been redeemed. The Directorate of Roads and Motorways wants to choose to build this new section next year so that the countries can kick in as early as 2023.
On Thursday, the news also came that the South Bohemian Regional Authority had rejected the appeal of several people against the construction of the so-called northern junction in České Budějovice, which will also be part of the D3 Motorway. So even in the case, there is nothing to stop the preparation for the construction of more than two kilometers of road for almost two billion crowns, which are part of the nine bridges.
According to the timetable of the Directorate of Roads and Motorways, cars should drive on the complete D3 motorway as early as 2025.
