Strong winds in the Liberec region break trees, which makes some roads and railway tracks impassable. The fallen trees also stopped traffic on some railway lines, for example from Liberec to the Frýdlant foothills or to Chrastava or between Česká Lípa and Nový Bor.
According to Sucharda, a strong wind also damaged the roof of an empty building in Purkyňová Street in Česká Lípa, rolled up part of the roof of an apartment building in Zákupy and damaged one roof on the square in Frýdlant.
Pilsen Region
Firefighters in the Pilsen Region already have more than 200 trips to uprooted and broken trees and branches due to today’s strong wind.
