Sparta surprised Lyon with a crushing start. But then her opponent scored four goals and won

Sugar Mizzy October 21, 2021

The Sparta footballers lost at home to the 3rd round of the European Lyon league group 3: 4, although after 19 minutes, thanks to two goals by Lukáš Haraslín, they led 2: 0.

Home coach Vrba left midfielder Dočkal on the bench, whose captain’s role was taken over by Pavelka. The Letna team prevailed at the beginning of the fourth minute. Minčev did not succeed in “scissors” after Hložek’s center, but the ball bounced towards Haraslín. The Slovak national team fired from the border of the lime and with the help of Denayer, who sent the ball into the counter-movement of the goalkeeper Lopez, opened the ball.

The home goal was kicked and the fourth team of last year’s Ligue 1 lost. In the 19th minute, active Haraslín increased the lead when he overcame Lopes with a ground shot over Boatenga and with the help of a rebound from the bar.

Olympique only came to the first serious threat to Nita in the 37th minute. Aouar found a free Kadewere between two Spartans, but was caught by a Romanian goalkeeper.

Five minutes later, the guests received a similar event. Boateng passed between Čelůstka and Hanck to Tok Ekambi, who threw the run-out Nita.

The player himself fired from the limit of the lime above shortly after the break. In the 53rd minute Lyon leveled. Shaqiri’s center in front of Nita’s goal went to Captain Aouar, whose quick blow bounced off the bar into the net.

Hancko could have returned the lead to Sparta, but he narrowly missed the lime. Then Nita uncertainly fired Emerson’s shot from a distance, but dealt with Aouar’s shot. Then Paquetá fired a stick.

In the 67th minute, the Brazilian national team was no longer mistaken, when after a pass by Tok Ekambi, he did not give Nito a chance with a sharp blow under the crossbar.

Six minutes later, after almost these months of missing, Krejčí Jr. returned to the lawn. Immediately afterwards, eighteen-year-old Bek Gusto ruined Haraslín and weakened his team after the second yellow card.

Despite the weakening, Lyon struck again. Cameroonian representative Toko Ekambi got rid of Hanck in the lime and celebrated his fifth goal in the current group of the European League, thanks to which he became independent at the head of the table of the best shooters.

Hanck’s goal from the finish line did not pay in the setting due to offside. Then, however, he found Krejčí very accurately, who lowered with a successful header. But Sparta had no time to settle.

The favored Lyon maintained a 100% balance in the main phase of the competition. On the contrary, Sparta lost for the first time and is second with four points. One point behind are the Glasgow Rangers, who defeated Bröndby Copenhagen 2-0 in a parallel match. The Danish champion is the last with one point.

Sparta did not beat the French team in the cups for the seventh time in a row, and Lyon did not beat the fifth duel either.
