A strong wind hit Thursday in some parts of the Czech Republic on Thursday. It causes damage, breaks trees and also shuts down households. In the western half of the Czech Republic, ČEZ Distribuce registered around 270,000 customers without electricity. The worst situation was in Central Bohemia, where there are no electricity per 100,000 households.

In the Vysočina region, a strong wind makes it difficult for firefighters to extinguish two forest fires. Fires were reported around 13:00 near Radějov in the Pelhřimov region and in the village of Tunochody in the Havlíčkův Brod region. Firefighters are also employed to clear fallen trees.
