VENICE | GREEN PASS DISEASES: +20% IN VENETO, BOOM IN ROVIGO AND BELLUNO, TREVISO ‘VIRTUOSA’ – ANTENNA TRE
20/10/2021 VENICE – Another effect of the obligation to have a green pass at work was seen in the increase in sickness certificates between Friday and Monday. INPS del Veneto increases the number of doctors for tax visits || No surprise for the regional INPS for what appears to be one of the effects of the obligation to have a green pass at work, namely the significant increase in sickness certificates. And the figures speak for themselves: on Friday there was an increase in the private sector of 23% and 31% in the public compared to the previous Friday, all a + 25%. The percentage on Monday decreased slightly with 21% more sickness certificates compared to the same day the week before, 20% more in the private sector and + 17% in the public sector. In Venice on Friday the increase was 42%, in Chioggia + 52% “it is difficult in the absence of other elements, of particular epidemiological situations, not to connect this anomalous situation to the green pass” explains the regional director of INPS Antonio Pone. At the provincial level, the most important increase on Friday was the Rovigo with + 26%, followed by the Bellunese with Agordo which had an even higher figure on the same day, + 31% certificates compared to the previous Friday. The Treviso brand, on the other hand, recorded the lowest increase of + 6%. The INPS response to this phenomenon comes through an increase in tax visits by fielding a dozen more doctors to reach around eighty doctors throughout the region. Tax visits that are automatically arranged by the INPS but which can also be requested by the employer as happened in the last few days – Interviewees ANTONIO PONE (Director of INPS Veneto) (Service by Francesca Bozza)
