The Büetzer Buebe venture into the big city
Even on day trips to the big city, they are homesick for the Alps: yesterday, Büetzer Buebe went from the narrow Bernese Oberland to wide Zurich to promote their latest album “Handwärch”. On the lake promenade, Gölä (53, real Marco Pfeuti) and Trauffer (42, Marc Trauffer) each treat themselves to a sausage. The latter also allows himself a beer at lunchtime. “I have to take advantage of Pfeuti chauffeuring me around,” he says with a laugh, while the latter is exasperated at the high parking fees in the Limmat city. «Park CHF 7.50 for one and a half hours? We have a whole lunch for that! “
In any case, they are not really comfortable in the most populous place in Switzerland. “For us, Zurich is like New York,” admits Gölä, who has never been to the American metropolis. “Everything is hectic here, there are way too many people for me. The best thing is the signpost to Bern, ”he jokes. “But the city of Bern is also too big for me,” he clarifies. Trauffer, on the other hand, is always drawn to metropolises, which is why a trip to Zurich should not be despised, he says. “But I’m always happy when I go home.”
Respect for the crowds in the Letzigrund
The Büetzer Buebe sing about the more leisurely life that they both cherish with the first song “E Chischte Bier, e Grill u es Füür” on their new album. “It doesn’t take much for a nice get-together with friends. The Corona period also showed us that, ”says Gölä. «A little bit of humility would do our human race good. Everyone always strives for the Ferrari, but you don’t even need it. “
Nevertheless: In the next year, the Büetzer Buebe in Zurich will themselves cause a large crowd. On August 19 and 20, 2022, the two musicians will play in front of around 48,000 people per evening in Zurich’s Letzigrund – for both of them the biggest concert of their lives. “That worries me now. Huge crowds, like here in the city center, are not my thing. But the problem has always been with me, ”admits Gölä. Trauffer: “As soon as we’re on stage, it’s forgotten anyway. It will be the biggest Büetzer party Zurich has ever seen! ”
The album “Handwärch” will be released tomorrow, Friday, tickets for the Letzigrund concerts of the Büetzer Buebe are available from Ticketcorner.
