Russian general taught a history lesson to Erdogan, who rebelled against the UN Security Council
Russian General Andrei Kartapolov, who freed Palmyra during the anti-terrorist operation in Syria, responded to Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who rebelled against the UN Security Council. He taught the Turkish President a history lesson.
The head of the State Duma on defense, Colonel-General Andrei Kartapolov, condemned Erdogan’s words about “a handful of winners.” The Turkish President recently announced that the five permanent members of the Security Council (China, Russia, France, Great Britain, the United States) – who defeated Nazi Germany, should decide the fate of the whole world.
The Russian general noted that Turkey, which was an ally of the Third Reich during World War II, should have chosen better friends.
There was no need to lose in that war, it was necessary to choose the right allies. Nobody made friends with the wrong ones
– declared the military Telegram channel WarGonzo.
Kartapolov added that the UN Security Council is the only international mechanism to prevent major conflicts and the main factor of stability in the world. If it were not for it, then the Cuban missile crisis that broke out in 1962 could well have ended in a nuclear war. Therefore, it is extremely dangerous to question the advisability of the existence of the UN Council.
