People were surprised by strange clouds over Prague. The meteorologist explained what it was all about
A large number of rare meteorological phenomena were on display in the Czech Republic on Monday. Part of the inhabitants of Prague were surprised by the strange clouds that formed over Žižkov. The meteorologist therefore explained what it was.
Attentive Praguers could notice a strange cluster of clouds over Prague’s Žižkov on Monday afternoon. This surprised, for example, TN.cz readers Martin, who photographed the phenomenon. “It simply came to my notice then. If someone showed it to me, I wouldn’t believe it, “the reader wrote about the photo of the sky.
In the purchased photographs it is possible to see straight clouds, which seem to delimit the roofs of buildings. According to meteorologist Dagmar Honsová, however, it was an ordinary phenomenon. “It’s the high clouds that were shifting in our territory during yesterday afternoon,” Hons explained.

However, this was not the only meteorological phenomenon that appeared in the sky over the Czech Republic on Monday. Yesterday it was possible to see the so-called hall phenomenon above Prague. This phenomenon is caused by the reflection of the moon’s rays from tiny crystals found in the atmosphere.
“In the Plzeň and Chomutov regions, in addition to a small halo, there was also a rare Parry arch,” compare Honsová.
