Bad news for Morocco vacationers: The North African country will be providing all direct flights to Germany, Great Britain and the Netherlands from TODAY NIGHT!
Reason: the corona situation.
The Foreign Office in Berlin confirmed this evening to BILD and referred to the travel advice updated today.
► It says: “The Moroccan authorities have suspended direct flights between Morocco and Germany, Great Britain and the Netherlands with effect from October 20, 2021 11:59 pm.”
It “cannot be ruled out that – depending on the assessment of the European COVID situation through Morocco – the flight permits for other routes to Europe will be withdrawn at short notice and at short notice”.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “If you are currently in, contact your transport company immediately and work independently with your tour operator or airline to arrange an immediate return trip.”
► The flight connections to / from Germany will not be discontinued for the first time. As of February 23, 2021, the Moroccan authorities canceled all direct flight connections with the Federal Republic and at the same time issued an entry ban from Germany.
Entry was allowed again since June 15, but air and ferry traffic was only possible with special connections.
