Moldova could buy Polish gas both from Poland and from the country’s stocks in Ukraine. Andrei Spinu, who recently returned from Warsaw, announced this today
Moldova could buy Polish gas both from Poland and from the country’s stocks in Ukraine. This was announced today, in a press conference, by the Deputy Prime Minister of Infrastructure, Andrei Spinu, who recently returned from Warsaw where he paid an official working visit.
Andrei Spinu says that he discussed with the Polish authorities about solutions that would come to help Moldova overcome the energy crisis.
Andrei SPINU, DEPUTY MINISTER OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA:“We had four meetings where we are looking for alternatives, for a diversification of gas purchases for the Republic of Moldova.”
The Deputy Prime Minister says that he tried to find out how much natural gas our country can obtain from the Polish state, but also about the technical details that will facilitate the process of natural gas supply in Moldova. Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu also spoke about Andrei Spinu’s visit, comparing gas to a pen.
Nicu POPESCU, DEPUTY MINISTER OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA:“I will compare the gas with this pen. The moment I buy this pen, it is no longer a pen that belongs to the pen manufacturer, it is my pen. Since I bought this pen, I can donate it to Mr. Spinu, you, or I can throw it away. I do what I want with him. In the last decade, almost the same thing has happened to the gas market in the European Union. “
Thus, Popescu tried to explain how the natural gas market in the European Union works.
