Meeting with the Monné sisters, real estate figures in Toulouse

Sugar Mizzy October 20, 2021

Bio express:

Caroline and Sophie Monné are two sisters from Toulouse. Respectively aged 39 and 35, they are currently at the helm of Heritage case. Their father, Robert Monné, is the co-founder of the ex-promoter Monne Decroix, acquired by Crédit Agricole Immobilier in 2007. After their studies and a career as a lawyer for Caroline, the two young women in turn embarked on the real estate adventure. First alongside their father in Monné Decroix, then in creative Caso Patrimoine in 2002. Since then, the two women have continued to develop theland activity of their company, based on the purchase of real estate, restructuring and leasing of goods.

Through Caso Patrimoine, the Monné sisters joined forces in 2012 with Stéphane Aubay, former CEO of Monné Decroix and founder of GreenCity Real Estate. They then become majority shareholders in the business. An adventure which ended very recently and of which the two sisters will keep fond memories, “both humanely and professionally”, they assure. Today, the Caso Patrimoine empire has 63 buildings in the Toulouse region but also 13 in the capital. Society matters 23 employees to his credit and is currently looking to expand his team.

What are your projects now?

We are in the process of diversifying our land activity with the creation of a new company: L’orangerie des demoiselles. A project with an agro-heritage dimension. We will obviously continue to develop the main activity of Caso Patrimoine, with the upcoming creation of offices in Paris. We are doubling the land activity in the last ten years. In addition, we bought the building of the old UGC cinema in Toulouse. We are planning a commercial vocation there with offices, a restaurant and also a rooftop.

What is your favorite place in Toulouse?

VS : I really appreciate the city center of Toulouse. My favorite neighborhood is the Capitol and around Fermat, where I went to school and where I currently live.

S: I will say the Place Saint-Georges. It is a place that people appreciate at all ages and that is very calming.

Your favorite restaurant in the pink city?

VS : Family resemblance, at the Capitol. There is market cuisine, with fresh and quality products. In the same vein, I like a lot The Genty Magre too.

S: I will say My Doe on the Roof for its cuisine and also for its breathtaking view over the rooftops of Toulouse.

Which movie do you never tire of?

VS : The Talented Mr. Ripley because I love Italy and it makes me travel

S: Since small, it is Santa Clause is garbage. I know a lot of his lines and we laugh every time we watch him.

Your favorite fictional character?

VS : The Count of Monte-Cristo because I love the novel and this character is very charismatic. I like his determination and his ability to adapt despite the ups and downs he has to face.

S: Alicia Florrick, in The Good Wife series for the same reasons, her determination.

What is the super power that you would like to have?

VS : I wanted the 30% of agricultural production that is thrown away each year to be used for consumption, and in particular for the most disadvantaged.

S: I would like to make people appreciate what they have, that they realize that you don’t need a lot to be happy.

Your favorite singer?

VS : I don’t really have one. For me there is not only good and bad music! My favorite artists vary depending on my moods.

S: It’s a bit the same but I would say maybe Carla Bruni. I have listened to it for a long time.

The drink that makes you better?

Collective response: green tea! It is the drink that accompanies us every morning at the office.

Your favourite meal ?

VS : Pork ribs with a good parsley. Especially when they come from my breeding of black pigs: “The Gascons des Demoiselles“.

S: Profiteroles fromEntrecote, they are unbeatable.

Rather TFC or Stade Toulousain?

Collective response: the choice is difficult, both. We have long been shareholders of TFC with Caso Patrimoine. This club is very promising. On the other hand, we particularly appreciate the values carried by rugby and in particular by Didier Lacroix, president of the club. He knew how to privilege the values of this sport beyond the financial aspect.

The trip you dream of?

VS : I would like to go to Scotland, go for a horseback ride in the countryside.

S: A family trip, preferably to the United States.

Your favorite animal?

Collective response: we both agree that it’s the dog! We have two: Flore and Richie.

Rather chocolatine or pain au chocolat?

Collective response: Chocolates from Chez Cyprien, in the Saint-Cyprien district.

What is the chosen one that annoys you the most?

VS : This is a phrase from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: “we do not inherit the land from our parents, we borrow it from our children”.

S: “There is no shame in preferring happiness”, by Albert Camus.
