Florence, via Incontri: the occupied building vacated – Chronicle
Florence, 20 October 2021 – The building in via Incontri has been cleared, owned by Inail, occupied illegally for about two years. The operations for the escape of the occupants began this morning at 9.30 and went on until around 16. At the time of the eviction there were about ten occupants and among them there were no minors.
The eviction, decided by the provincial committee for public order and safety, took place without the use of force and at the end of the operations the structure was secured by the property. Half of the occupants with significant frailties found a place in the reception facilities.
The Municipal Social Services Directorate, the State Police with the Mobile Department and the Digos and the Carabinieri intervened on the spot. “We have welcomed fragile people – said the councilor for Welfare Sara Funaro -, some of which, with major health problems, entered the structurewhile one in need of urgent care is in hospital. I thank the Social Services, the State Police with the Mobile Department and the Digos and the Carabinieri for the work done “.
