Exhibition IQ Landia Prague with 40 interactive stations Department store Kotva
The Kotva department store in cooperation with the Dancing House Gallery opens new exhibition spaces under the name Kotva Gallery. The fourth floor of OD Kotva in its eastern wing becomes a place for culture in the very heart of Prague. On more than 2,000 m2, you can look forward to a variety of cultural activities for years to come. At present, the exhibition The World of Fairy Tales by Božena Němcová is taking place here. At the same time, the IQ Landia Prague exhibition opens. At this new largest knowledge exhibition in Prague, visitors will find 40 sites, which represent the laws of physics and the world of nature in an entertaining way. Both exhibitions last until January 1, 2022. In the new Kotva Gallery, two interactive exhibitions can be seen on 2,000 square meters, in addition to one entrance fee. The world of fairy tales by Božena Němcová draws visitors into 8 fairy-tale rooms and shows 48 film costumes. The exhibition also includes the first issue of Babička. Next door, the inquisitive exhibition IQ Landia Praha awaits all inquisitive children, which, thanks to its area of 400 square meters, is the largest knowledge center in the capital. It will practice the senses and abilities of children and adults. “We really appreciate that the new owner of OD Kotva approached us to cooperate. We agreed on the direction and concept of the exhibition space on the fourth floor. We want to organize events that will educate and entertain visitors. The two exhibitions with which we are launching the Kotva Gallery are definitely valid, “said Robert Vůjtek, director of the Dancing House Gallery. The new IQ Landia Prague exposition has prepared over 40 knowledge and skills stations for visitors, where they train motor and haptic skills. It focuses mainly on the laws of physics and the world of nature. Thanks to the site called the Black Hole, children in particular will master the functioning of the centrifugal and attractive force. Pythagorean’s theorem, using a rotating disk and an overflowing liquid, clearly proves the validity of perhaps the most famous mathematical theorem.
Visitors penetrate the secrets of the formation of a rotating hyperboloid, which is created by the gradual rotation of the hyperbola around its axis. Other more or less complex stations together with almost 30 logical tasks and puzzles are already waiting on the fourth floor of OD Kotva. In the following years, the Kotva Gallery on the fourth floor of the department store of the same name will offer visitors a number of entertainment and educational exhibitions under the heading of the Dancing House Gallery. Current exhibitions The World of Fairy Tales by Božena Němcová and IQ Landia Prague for the public waiting until January 1, 2022. More information at www.galerietancicidum.cz
