The same record also earned her the Multishow Record of the Year Award, as well as three nominations for the first edition of the Women’s Music Events Awards, in 2019. modern blue attended Lollapalooza Brasil 2018 (São Paulo) and had more than 40 presentations in 12 Brazilian states, also passing through Mexico. A few months before the covid-19 pandemic was declared, at the end of the year 2019, Luiza Lian launched the single Alumiô (falls to the ground), in a partnership with a band Bixiga 70.
The album modern blue was produced by Charles Tixier and by Tim Bernardes, singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and arranger from São Paulo, vocalist of the trio O Terno, who had already participated in Luiza Lian’s first album, as part of the band that accompanied her.
In the announcement of her presentation in Lisbon, Luiza justifies her interest in performing in Portugal: “Since the launch of modern blue we have a very strong desire to do this exposure in Portugal, we had the expectation that this would happen in 2020, but the world stopped. Now I feel that it will be very special and symbolic to live this rebirth of everything in the country, especially in this moment of reopening”. As for his music, and also in the same press release, he says: “I believe that my music is born already full of images, my way of integrating all art and all art is to add layers to this universe of music, translate its colors and shapes, from start telling new stories”.
already the Music Box, when announcing the concert, recovered: “Luiza Lian merges the experience of a syncretized spirituality with the intense urban reality of São Paulo”. And further on: “The content of his poetry, with a strong autobiographical content, addresses themes such as spirituality, technology and needs, and translates a link with his production as a visual artist. If we think of magic as a set of words and gestures capable of directing a frame that, despite being invisible, influence our lives, it is quite appropriate to say that Luiza Lian’s music is an act of witchcraft. ”
To participate in the concert, those responsible for Musicbox warn, “it is mandatory to present a vaccination certificate or negative test to covid-19 (PCR carried out in the last 72 hours or antigen in the last 48 hours). Self-tests are not allowed. ”
