Müller: “Great anticipation and full of motivation for the exciting task.”
At the meeting of the university representatives on October 19, 2021, all speaker positions in the ÖH and the chairing team were newly elected. The new, 2-year ÖH period has been running since July 1st, 2021. Daniel Müller, who has been the second deputy chairman since July of this year and was already active in the ÖH department for public relations in the spring, will take over the ÖH executive chair from Johann Katzlinger: “I’m really looking forward to my new job, I can hardly wait to implement great projects for Innsbruck’s students and to improve everything their studies and student life in Innsbruck! There is an extremely exciting task and time ahead of me, for which I am highly motivated “
, says Daniel Müller (AG). In terms of content, he and his team want to continue to focus on university and educational policy. In contrast to the Federal ÖH and some other university representations, which stand out above all for their socio-political clientele policy, he clearly understands the role of the ÖH as a mouthpiece for the students, clearly identifying problems and topics, presenting solutions and enforcing them.
Katzlinger takes stock: pandemic representation work and service expansion of the ÖH
The now former ÖH chairman, Johann Katzlinger (AG), takes stock of the past two years with satisfaction: “We can be proud of how reliably and persistently we represented the concerns of the students during the pandemic and have further expanded the ÖH apparatus since the beginning of 2020.”
Completely of the content and organization expansion of the ÖH Academy, the new ÖH-Referate for Sport and Environment and the various auxiliary pots were milestones of the last term of office. “The Corona aid fund, with which we paid out over € 100,000 to students in need, was probably one of the largest ÖH Innsbruck projects in this category.”
Further stable ÖH work through AG & JUNOS coalition
Not only was Daniel Müller able to familiarize himself with the chairing team over the summer, the slow ÖH coalition of the AktionGemeinschaft (AG) and JUNOS students (JUNOS) was able to get together well and get used to it. Lukas Schobesberger, 1st deputy ÖH chairman (JUNOS) says: “The summer and the beginning of the semester have shown that we can set up cool projects and offer helpful services to the students. In addition to the ÖH beach party, the already legendary ÖH semester openings or the subsidy pot for psychotherapy and neo-psychological treatment, we are working on a semester program with various contents and projects, die from the social networking of the students in the focus of the students and, on the other hand, a possible – friendly and varied teaching at the University of Innsbruck. ”
