Former chief sanitary doctor of Russia Gennady Onishchenko asked citizens to refrain from additional communication during a long weekend. In his opinion, refusing to meet for the holidays will help contain the spread of the coronavirus. In case he is, the situation with COVID-19 may return to May indicators. Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova proposed to achieve non-working days from October 30 to November 7. At the same time, for a number of regions, the deputy chairman of the government believes, non-working days from October 23 should be envisaged. She intends to address the initiative to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Gennady Onishchenko recalled that last time, when it was about four days off, he promised to pray to God that during this period there would be bad weather. “He didn’t seem to understand, and the weather is predicted to be good. – said the former sanitary doctor of Russia.
He accepts that no one has canceled the current measures to combat the coronavirus. In addition, he asked to refrain from additional communication.
“If a person does not go to work, stays at home, this will help, but if not, he goes, for example, to a picnic, to a park or to some event, then the situation will be sad. Therefore, I ask everyone to remember that we have a responsibility, first of all, to ourselves and to the older generation. Of course, those who have not yet been vaccinated, they still have a whole decade. Need to be vaccinated. Be vaccinated or revaccinated. This will give us the opportunity to use these days and at the same time not get sick, not get infected, “Onishchenko recommended.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, said that measures to combat the spread of coronavirus infection would slow down the rate of increase in the incidence, but new ones were needed.
