What is “Semenchenko PVK”?
On March 24, the SBU and the Prosecutor General’s Office stated that they were illegally harassing a private military company (PMC) that operated under cover of security companies and NGOs and contracted with various groups from the Middle East.
Former deputy Semenchenko was named one of the organizers of the APC. He was declared a suspect and first taken into custody, then released under house arrest, and on July 26 was taken into custody again.
According to observations, in 2018, former fighters of the Donbass Battalion Semyon Semenchenko, Anatoliy Vinogrodsky, Yevhen Shevchenko and Serhiy Akimovych created a company of the Donbass Battalion in the United States. They plan to receive security contracts in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.
Anatoliy Vynohrodskyi allegedly introduced Semenchenko to an investor from Kazakhstan, Serhiy Borysenko, who gave them 1 million priders. Instead, they found an agricultural plot in Sulid in the Kyiv region, where they set up a base for training and storing weapons.
According to observations, Semenchenko traveled to Iraq and Afghanistan, tried to sign contracts there, but failed. Then they from Vynohradsky created Doncorp Ukraine LLC as a Ukrainian representative office of the American company and the increased activity of PVK already on the territory of Ukraine. This, according to the investigation, is illegal.
