SPGI Zürich AG: lease extension and negotiation for Huawei
Liebefeld / Zurich – For Huawei Technologies Switzerland AG, SPGI Zurich AG could take over the negotiations to extend the lease and reduce office space in Liebefeld near Bern.
The technology company Huawei Technologies Switzerland AG commissioned SPGI Zurich to renegotiate and extend the rental agreement for its headquarters in Liebefeld BE. Huawei wanted a reduction in the rented space. SPGI Zurich negotiated with the owner and was able to obtain a lease extension with new conditions for Huawei.
Pauline Yuan, Head of Administration at Huawei Technologies Switzerland AG, is pleased: «SPGI understood our needs perfectly. In the course of the pandemic, we reconsidered our workplace concept to protect our employees. With the new, reduced rental space, we can meet the desire for more home offices and align work in the office even better with mutual exchange and collaboration. It was also very important to us to keep our established headquarters in Liebefeld, which – supplemented by our locations in Zurich-Dübendorf and Lausanne – has been of immense importance for our presence in Switzerland since 2008. “
Natalia Ignatova, Head Tenant Representation at SPGI Zürich AG: “It was a pleasure for us to support our long-term customer Huawei with this concern. In Liebefeld the aim was to reduce the size of the space and to divide the remaining space differently. Our role has been to reach an agreement with the landlord and ensure that the terms of the lease are in line with Huawei’s interests. We are pleased that PSP Swiss Property, one of the leading property owners in Switzerland, is our negotiating partner. “
Robert Hauri, CEO and co-owner of SPG Zürich AG: «I am pleased about the successful cooperation with Huawei. This time we helped to reduce the office space in Bern – last time we were asked to find additional space in Zurich. We look forward to further joint projects with Huawei. ” (SPGI Zurich AG / mc / ps)
